What causes Colour Loss in Carpets?

The colour loss can be caused by either chemical or natural means.
Chemical Causes for colour loss are usually caused by application of chemicals by homeowners or by Pet Stains. The main causes of colour loss are: chlorine bleaches, pet stains, cleaners with high PH.
Natural causes for colour loss can be classified as Sun fading, Ultraviolet or Fume fading. The fading usually occurs over a long period of time. Sun fading usually destroys the dye’s chromophores and causes it to lose colour.
