This depends a lot on the age of a stain. Most fresh stains can be removed from the carpet’s fibre by an application of appropriate chemical/stain remover. Usually a Carpet Cleaner is called to attempt the stain removal procedure long after there was a spill. In this time the stain has dried out and set on or in the fibre.
